Chalets Aurore and Boreale, Meribel

The amazing floating pool outside the chalets Aurore and Boreale in Meribel, is world class (featured image above). There is nothing quite like being able to relax in the pool surrounded by snow covered trees and looking out at Mont Vallon at the end of the valley. With slippers and dressing gowns provided, the dash to the edge of the pool is never too painful. Large enough to complete your laps, or play water polo with the children, it also is perfect for enjoying the afternoon sun later in the season.

Shemshak Lodge, Courchevel

Shemshak Lodge in Courchevel has an entire floor dedicated to wellness.  The stunning pool features floor to ceiling windows, offering a clear view across the valley.  You can even watch the skiers whizzing down on the piste below.  This pool is so long it has pillars at either end, giving it a Roman bath feel. It is perfect for those who like to complete a few lengths after a day’s skiing.  With a hot tub at one end, sauna and hamam at the other, relaxation is the order of the day.

Chalet Montana, Val d’Isere

Chalet Montana is nestled away in a private little enclave next to La Face piste, high above Val d’Isere. The pool, located at ground level offers the most stunning views over the resort. The pool changes colour at the touch of a button, allowing guests to set the mood.  In one corner there is a raised platform with Jacuzzi jets, which is the perfect place to relax while watching the children play in the pool.

Chalet Marco Polo, Val d’Isere (featured image)

Chalet Marco Polo is located right in the heart of Val d’Isere.  The spectacular and spacious swimming pool which sits next to the hot tub and hammam, is covered in gold leaf and has its own jet stream. It is flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. The backdrop either side of the feature window, was designed by Christian Lacroix and features gold leaf tiles which depict the goddess Boudicca. There is also a drop down screen where you can watch a movie with perfect surround sound, while relaxing in the pool. The adjoining relaxation area with bar and fire place comes complete with lasers, smoke machines and an entertainment system provides everything you might need for a party.

Chalet Toit du Monde, Val d’Isere

This exquisite chalet, created from an old monastery, is protected by fortress- like stone walls, offering seclusion and exclusivity to the guests. The swimming pool, complete with jet stream and corner Jacuzzi jets, is simply incredible, and allows guests to swim both inside and out. The outdoor pool area is surrounded by a beautiful terrace for sunbathing when the weather gets warmer towards the end of the season.

Enjoy the swim and the views!
