Fit To Promise

Four Seasons is a new luxury hotel on Jumeirah Beach. It is elegant and sophisticated in style yet it is has a relaxed feel of a beachfront resort.

The location is handy for trips to the Financial district where many of the best restaurants and night clubs are and also close to Dubai’s famous shopping malls – Dubai Mall and Mall of Emirates.

Accommodation

237 rooms and suites are ultra spacious with high ceilings, light and fresh design and subtle Arabic motifs. Plush furniture in blue or green hues beautifully resonates with the views of Arabic sea from all windows.

Stunning marble bathrooms are very spacious and offer his and hers vanities, separate shower cabins and divine toiletries by Etro. Hidden TVs, Murano glass pedants and mosaic tiles walls add to the charm of these indulgent bathrooms.

Even the entry level rooms start from 70 square meters making Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach a hotel with the largest rooms in town.

Lux Traveller’s favourite is Jumeirah Sea View Suite, a spectacular 173 sq meter oasis of luxury. It features a separate living room with a powder room and a spacious bedroom with an on-suite. Two separate balconies offer added privacy to the families with children sharing the suite.

Facilities

There is a fantastic array  of activities on offers for the guests to enjoy. Whether you are here alone or with a family you won’t get bored.

Start a day with either a tennis lesson, group fitness class or a private yoga session. After breakfast enjoy the beach or, if sunbaking isn’t your thing, check yourself into a spa for a few hours of ultimate relaxation.

The Pearl Spa is inspired by Dubai’s ancient pearl industry.

Here you can discover elite level skincare (gold facial would be perfect after a long haul flight), enjoy deluxe aqua thermal experiences like heated whirlpool, steam room, ice fountain or a rain shower with different mood themes or simply relax in the hands of a skilled therapist enjoying a healing massage.

The Pearl Spa offers truly indulgent facials with extravagant names like Diamond Infusion or 24 Carat Gold Facial. They would be absolutely perfect after a long haul flight to nourish dehydrated skin.

Hamam experience is another truly unique Middle eastern therapy, a must try for anyone who hasn’t experienced it before. This indulgent bathing ritual has originated in Turkey hundreds of years ago and is now enjoyed by all cultures. A word of advice – have this treatment in the evening just before bed; you will drift to sleep as soon as your head touches the pillow.

Dining

Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach Resort is famous in Dubai for a number of restaurants and lounges. All are exceptional but here are a couple of my favourites.

Open air Mercury Lounge is a must visit – Arabic style lounge with a glam bar, aromatic shishas and a view to die for – a place glamorous locals adore.

rooftop lounge

Sea Fu – is another spot locals tend to come to for Friday brunch. It is packed with well heeled crowd every Saturday afternoon. Dine on fresh seafood, sip a glass of champagne and take in the gorgeous views.

Turkish inspired dinner at Suq was also a highlight of my stay. Book a table in the romantic garden setting and dine on the local specialties while enjoying the belly dancers show. A traditional Arabic night to remember.

Splitting Hairs

The beach in front of the resort isn’t the best. There is a lot of construction going on around the resort so you don’t get to enjoy a pristine beach. In saying that the beach is better than in many Palm hotels, it is perfectly suitable for morning laps or afternoon swims to cool down on hot days.

All In All

Four Seasons Resort at Jumeirah Beach is wonderful! Any Lux Traveller who chooses to visit it won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended!
