The Adlon Spa by Resense is one of Europe’s most sophisticated urban retreats, spread across three serene levels. I tried their performance facial using the renowned 111SKIN range – a treatment that combines advanced technology with a deeply relaxing touch. The results were remarkable; my skin felt smoother, hydrated, and genuinely rejuvenated.

The adjoining pool and wellness area is a destination in itself, featuring a striking black-marble pool, whirlpool, Finnish sauna, soft sauna, and a steam room inspired by an Arabian hammam. The relaxation lounges, with fireplaces and daybeds, are ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the city. Guests can enjoy a refreshing juice or even the hotel’s signature Adlon currywurst adorned with edible gold – a playful nod to Berlin’s culinary spirit.

Breakfast at the Adlon is legendary – arguably one of the finest in Europe. It is a feast that celebrates abundance and quality in equal measure. Red caviar, smoked salmon, artisanal cheeses, warm pastries, seasonal fruits, and an extensive à-la-carte selection are served in an elegant room filled with morning light.

The service is polished yet relaxed, and the experience feels joyful rather than formal – a true highlight of every stay.

In the evening, the two-Michelin-star Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer offers an unforgettable fine-dining journey. Each dish is a composition of textures and flavours that reflect both French technique and modern creativity. With views of the Brandenburg Gate and an atmosphere of understated sophistication, it remains one of Berlin’s top gastronomic destinations.

For something more casual, Brasserie Quarré serves refined French and German classics on a terrace overlooking Pariser Platz – the most coveted seat in town for people-watching with a glass of champagne. On the last Sunday of each month, the restaurant hosts its celebrated Champagne Brunch, a lavish spread accompanied by live music and flowing Taittinger bubbles.
