Could our birth chart influence the destinations that call to us?

Intrigued by this possibility, I experienced a personal astrology consultation with Luke. As someone who has travelled extensively and built a career around discovering the world’s most extraordinary destinations, I was fascinated to learn whether astrology could explain why certain places have played such distinctive roles in my life.

What impressed me was that the session was not presented as a prediction of an unavoidable future. Instead, Luke offered another lens through which to understand my own patterns, opportunities and relationship with different parts of the world.

One of the strongest themes to emerge was the Middle East. Luke identified the region as particularly supportive for my career, financial prosperity and professional expansion. Reflecting on the partnerships, opportunities and connections I have developed in Dubai and throughout the wider Middle East, his interpretation resonated strongly. The Maldives revealed a very different energy.

Luke described it as a place of nurturing, healing and emotional restoration for me. This also felt remarkably accurate. Every time I arrive in the Maldives, I experience an almost immediate sense of calm. It is one of the few places where I naturally slow down, reconnect with myself and return home feeling lighter, restored and newly inspired.

Australia, meanwhile, appeared as an excellent place for me to live, create stability and enjoy a beautiful quality of life. However, Luke suggested that it may not be the place where the greatest excitement or momentum in my professional life unfolds. For someone whose work is inherently international, this observation made perfect sense. Australia is a wonderful home base, while many of my most dynamic opportunities continue to emerge overseas.

This geographic aspect of astrology can add an intriguing new dimension to travel. One destination may support ambition and visibility, while another encourages love, creativity, healing or introspection. A city that feels exhilarating to one person may feel overwhelming to another—not because either response is wrong, but because we each experience place differently.

Luke’s manner is warm, compassionate and refreshingly grounded. His readings invite curiosity rather than requiring unquestioning belief. The purpose is not to surrender decision-making to the stars, but to gain greater awareness of the influences, possibilities and recurring themes within our lives.

For me, the session provided language for feelings I had experienced for years but had never fully articulated. It helped explain why certain destinations stimulate my ambition while others feel like sanctuaries.

Luxury travel has always been about discovering extraordinary places. Perhaps its next evolution lies in choosing those places with deeper intention.

After all, the most meaningful journey may not simply be the one that takes us furthest from home, but the one that brings us closer to understanding ourselves.
