VIP SERVICE
Byron Bay, an incredible beach destination in Northern NSW, has always been a popular destination for Australian and overseas travellers. It boasts stunning beaches, great surf breaks, pretty hinterland, awesome food and holiday atmosphere all year round.
Crystalbrook Byron is the perfect hotel to call ‘home’ while you are exploring the area. We had a pleasure of spending a weekend here recently and I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
Location
Crystalbrook Byron is located 30 minutes from Ballina airport by car and five minutes drive from Byron Bay town centre. I loved being away from the hustle and bustle of Byron, yet close enough to be out in town for dinner within a few minutes.
Accommodation
Suites are located in little clusters in eco-friendly pavilions, all set up in mangroves looking over the luscious green. It’s not uncommon to find a wallaby on your doorstep, greeting you on the way to breakfast. I love that resort preserves the wildlife and promotes eco-friendly approach to our environment.
We stayed in Treetops Luxe Suite. It features large open plan living / bedroom space with front and back terrace to give the space an indoor / outdoor living feel. Bathroom feature rain showers and stand alone baths; living room has a fold out sofa, perfect for small children. A family-friendly space made even more comfortable with laundry facilities.
Facilities
Facilities is one of the features that makes Crystalbrook Byron a stand out. Mornings start here with a complimentary yoga class on a pool deck. German instructor we had on the day was very professional and yoga would suit all levels, from absolute beginners to those willing to work a little harder.
Large pool set in the luscious green is one of the prettiest in Byron. It’s long enough to do laps in the morning or for families to have hours of endless fun in the afternoon.
Those looking for relaxation will love Crystalbrook Spa, offering organic face and body treatments. Little exercise room and sauna are other great features that would add to your health and wellness routine.
While those looking for shopping and Byron Bay buzz could take advantage of the complimentary shuttle bus that wizzes guests from the hotel to town centre a few times a day.
Dining
Even though Byron offers a lot of great dining options we recommend a dinner at the hotel’s Forest restaurant at least once during your stay. Their farm to plate approach make dinner a memorable and delicious affair. Go for the seasonal degustation menu to try all of the chef’s favourites. Don’t forget to try a signature cocktail too, they are great here!
Breakfast is served in the same restaurant, a la carte. If your breakfast is included in the room rate you could choose one main dish, tea or coffee, juice and a side dish. We loved the avocado toast with poached eggs, an Australian favourite staple dish, cooked to perfection.
The Lux Traveller Loves
We loved the warm service, gourmet dining at Forest, eco-friendly spacious suites perfect for families, great location and picture-perfect resort swimming pool.
Splitting Hairs
No criticism to the resort, more of a note for fellow travellers. To explore the area and enjoy the location and the area to the fullest we’d suggest hiring a car. It would make exploring local beaches, getting to town and airport much easier.
All In All
Our favourite resort in Byron Bay! Already can’t wait to return!
