Protected by Peru’s National Institute of Culture, the Monasterio Hotel was originally built on the foundations of Inca Amaru Qhala’s Palace. Later, after the Spanish conquest of Peru, the Seminary of San Antonio Abad was founded on the site.

The hotel is constructed around 5 stunning cloistered courtyards, boasts 126 rooms and suites and a baroque style chapel. The Monasterio Hotel was one of Cusco’s original luxury hotels, and although competition from new contenders is strong, its unique character and charm make the hotel hard to beat.
