HÔTEL BELLES RIVES, ANTIBES, FRANCE
33, bd Edouard Baudoin 06160 Juan-les-Pins Cap d’Antibes France
+33 4 93 61 02 79

The story of the Hôtel Belles Rives, a boutique beauty located right on the waterfront in the French Riviera town of Juan-les-Pins, tells a love story of sorts. Writers, poets, and musicians – including Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald and Hemingway – flocked to the French Riviera during the gentle frenzy of the Roaring Twenties, where they fell in love with their art, each other and the romantic stretch of sand and beach.

Indeed, it was at Villa Saint-Louis, which would become Hôtel Belles Rives, that Fitzgerald penned, ‘Tender is the Night’, between dancing, downing champagne and living a sweetly decadent life.

Today, as the Hôtel Belles Rives, all rooms and suites have been sensitively renovated, each boasting a unique personality and a balcony opening onto the Mediterranean Sea or Cap d’Antibes.

Cosy and warm, the hotel’s design remains faithful to its roots with stained-glass windows and mosaic floors and Ruhlmann-style straight graphics, complemented with Madeleine Castaing’s 50’s whims and rich Pierre Frey fabrics. Bathrooms are finished in Carrara marble with the somewhat seductively name, ‘thigh of the emotive muse’.

A magic cove nestled at the beginning of Cap d’Antibes, the Belles Rives Beach embodies the soul and the atmosphere of the Belle Époque.

The beach club provides a terraced sundeck, sandy beach, private jetty and water sports, and there’s yoga on the pontoon and a selection of Signature treatments at the Valmont Beauty Corner.

Indulge in Michelin-starred dining under magnificent chandeliers at La Passagère, and fresh seafood with a view, accompanied by a chilly glass of rosé wine, at Belles Rives Beach.

The historic Fitzgerald Bar is a magical setting of art deco club chairs and artworks offset by a mesmerising views and live Jazz in the summertime.

The hotel also hosts events throughout the year from art auctions and the Fitzgerald Literary Prize, to Bacchus dinners and beach parties, that reflect  the style, elegance and French art of living.
