VIP SERVICE
If you are looking for a beautiful resort on the best beach in UAE I would suggest Jumeirah Saadiyat Island. Saadiyat boasts exquisite white sand beaches that go on for miles. It is a perfect vacation spot for families and lovers of sea and luxury.
Arrival
We arrived to the resort in a new V Class Mercedes that brought us from the airport to the resort. The journey took no more than 20 minutes. Resort check in was smooth and we loved a gift of sparkly water bottles that we could use during the stay and take home with us. Every guest received those on arrival – it is one of the resort’s eco friendly initiatives to minimize the use of plastic.
Accommodation
The resort proudly sits right on the beach and luxurious rooms and suites are located in three sea-facing buildings.
We had a pleasure of staying in a Panoramic Ocean One-Bedroom Suite. It sits proudly on a high floor and boasts a large terrace and a full view of the sea. The suite is over 90 sq meters and is a perfect sanctuary for a family. The design is stunning – all in white and golden tones that reminded me of the warm Arabian sun.
Elegant living room with a dining setting and plush lounges has enough space for kids’ beds. But if you really value space Jumeirah Saadiyat, being a true family resort, has multiple two-bedroom options for bigger families. The bedroom had the comfiest bed with high quality bed sheets fit for a king and bathroom with a large bath and beautiful skin care products by Appelles. There was a little lobby where we could leave unpacked suitcases and a guest powder room for visitors.
Dining
Jumeirah Saadiyat Island has one of the best hotel breakfasts I ever saw in a hotel. The restaurant is located on the ground floor and offers guests indoor and outdoor seating. Even during the hottest months it’s shady and very pleasant to be on the terrace. The design of the restaurant is also stunning and it is a pleasure to linger over breakfast a little longer.
Multiple live-cooking stations would spoil you with anything you possibly think of – Western dishes, Asian, Arabic, all complemented with a wide variety of fruit, vegetables, nuts, juices, jams, breads and even ice creams.
For lunch and dinner there are many gourmet options as well. We loved Italian Mare Mare – it is a popular spot with the expats for a long Sunday lunch. Don’t miss crudo (raw) dishes like sea bass carpaccio and tuna tartar as well as Italian classics like Eggplant Parmigiana, Burrata, Octopus salad to mention just a few mouth watering dishes. The setting is equally divine, right on water’s edge with endless seaview.
Tean is another standout with a selection of grilled seafood and meats prepared in a traditional Levantine style.
Facilities
Being on Saadiyat means you have access to one of the best beaches in the country. I would suggest not planning too much and just enjoying the location, service and sea.
For sports aficionados there is a great fitness centre and for those who love to relax there is a beautiful spa offering local treatments like hammam or classic massages and beauty treatments.
If you play golf there is a golf course at a nearby St Regis hotel, only 10 minutes away by a taxi. For my relaxation and fitness I love taking a long walk on the beach at sunset time. It’s a beautiful way to finish the day and almost therapeutic for body and soul.
The Lux Traveller Loves
I loved the exquisite suite with lots of space for the family and luxurious design that is very much appreciated by yours truly.
Exceptional dining at the hotel and very enjoyable long breakfasts.
Superb location on a stunning white sand beach.
Splitting Hairs
The only thing that I thought hotel could improve on is swimming pools – even though there are a few of them they are quite small for the size of the hotel.
All In All
Jumeirah Saadiyat Island is an exceptional beach resort with great service, superb dining options and beautiful rooms. We will return!
