Fit To Promise

I stayed at The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca in August, and from the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of calm that is surprisingly rare in peak summer. The resort is expansive, beautifully landscaped and quietly refined, with the Mediterranean stretching out in front of it. Despite being fully alive with summer energy, it never felt busy or chaotic. The atmosphere is polished yet relaxed, with a level of service that feels seamless rather than showy — attentive, intuitive and genuinely warm.

Suites and Terraces

The newly renovated suites are exceptional and were one of the standout elements of my stay. They are spacious, practical and beautifully designed, with a layout that truly works for long summer days. I loved how functional everything felt without compromising on elegance.

My suite opened onto a large terrace with sun loungers and uninterrupted sea views, and it quickly became my favourite place to start and end the day. Mornings were spent with the doors wide open, the sound of the sea drifting in, and evenings watching the light soften over the water. These suites feel luxurious in a very livable way — generous, calming and thoughtfully executed.

Dining

Breakfast here was, quite simply, one of the best I’ve experienced anywhere. Served in a stunning garden setting, it felt both indulgent and serene. I loved the sense of space, the birdsong in the morning, and the way breakfast was designed to be enjoyed slowly. The selection of local produce was outstanding — beautifully ripe fruit, excellent pastries, artisanal cheeses and cured meats — while drinks and hot dishes were served to the table with ease and grace. It set the tone for the entire day and became something I genuinely looked forward to every morning.

Dining at The St. Regis Mardavall was one of the highlights of my stay and something I genuinely looked forward to each day. Lunch by the sea at Mar Sea Club became a favourite ritual. It has an effortless summer energy, serving modern Spanish and Mediterranean dishes that feel perfectly suited to the setting. Fresh seafood, paella, beautifully prepared fish, vibrant salads and simple flavours done extremely well made it the ideal place to linger through the afternoon, with the sea stretching out in front of you and no reason to rush.

In the evenings, dining takes on a more elevated tone. The resort is home to the Michelin-starred Es Fum, an important culinary destination in Mallorca. Although I didn’t dine there personally, it was very much part of the atmosphere, with guests dressing up and heading off for what is clearly a special experience. Es Fum is led by chef José Miguel Navarro and is known for its refined tasting menus, creative presentation and thoughtful use of seasonal ingredients, offering a more formal and gastronomic counterpoint to the relaxed daytime dining. Together, the dining options at the resort create a wonderful balance between elegance and ease.

Pool and Sea Life

The swimming pool is spectacular — large, serene and positioned to look straight out over the Mediterranean. I spent many hours here, alternating between swimming, reading and simply enjoying the view.

One of the unique pleasures of staying here is the private jetty, where guests can hire a boat directly from the hotel or jump in the sea to cool off. Quite a rarity in Mallorca.

Spa & Gym

The facilities at The St. Regis Mardavall are exceptional and were a real part of what made my stay so enjoyable. The spa is extensive and beautifully designed, with a sense of calm the moment you step inside. I had a personalised massage during my stay, tailored exactly to what my body needed, intuitive, unrushed and deeply restorative. The spa experience is complemented by multiple saunas, an indoor pool and a jacuzzi, making it easy to spend several relaxed hours moving between heat, water and quiet rest.

The gym is equally impressive – large, modern and well equipped, with plenty of space to train properly rather than feeling confined. Whether starting the day with a workout or unwinding after time by the pool, the wellness facilities here feel genuinely considered and of a standard that suits long, luxurious stays.

Exploring the Area

I also loved how easy it was to explore beyond the resort. Complimentary electric car transfers made getting around effortless, whether heading to nearby beaches or restaurants, while the hotel’s bikes were perfect for exploring the seaside neighbourhood at a slower pace. Cycling along the coast early in the morning or later in the afternoon was one of my favourite ways to get some exercise while taking in the scenery.
