Villa Marquis – Our Favourite Boutique Hotel In Paris

Finding a boutique hotel in Paris that offers a great location, exquisite, renovated rooms, Parisian setting and good value for money wasn’t an easy task until we have discovered Villa Marquis. It belongs to the Spanish brand Melia and offers warm Spanish hospitality in the heart of Paris. After extensive renovation Meliá Collection’s Hotel Villa Marquis has opened its doors last year. This rose gold embellished gem featuring luxurious velvet accents and rich colour palette is a new contender in the city of love for the best boutique hotel in Paris.

Location and Arrival

The hotel is in an enviable location, on the edge of the Golden Triangle, in the 8th district, walking distance to avenue des Champs-Elysées and Eiffel Tower.

After a 40-minute journey from Charle De Gaulle airport you’ll arrive at an authentically Parisian street and will be greeted with a big smile in the intimate reception of the hotel.

Accommodation

With only 63 rooms Villa Marquis offers beautifully renovated, ultra stylish rooms and suites. I hope you love red colour as it is the dominant colour in the hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite, spacious room with a king size bed, sitting area and open plan bathroom that is a real treat. Luxurious bathtubs and rain showers are a perfect treat after browsing Parisian streets all day long. It appears that Melia Collection is all about comfort and we had plenty of space to put our luggage out of sight and enjoy a morning coffee before heading out for the day exploring Paris.

We also loved personalised French bathroom amenities, bath salts and even a mini deodorant in the bathroom.

Dining

Villa Marquis has one restaurant Dos Almas that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is gorgeous with a selection of cheese, fruit, pastries, and omelettes made to order. Dinner menu features  a clever blend of Spanish cuisine with French flair. Well priced selection of tapas, sharing style, could be great way to wrap up an evening. The atmosphere is warm and cozy – with only about fifteen tables you get to know most guests during breakfast. It feels very personal and after a couple of days most of the staff would know you by name.

The Lux Traveller Loves

We loved beautifully designed, spacious guestrooms, friendly service, excellent location. Will return to this little gem in a heartbeat. Also we found this hotel to offer guests an excellent price-value ratio.

Splitting Hairs

If you are looking for a grand hotel with a view, this wouldn’t be a hotel for you. If you love little, elegant boutique hotels with a sophisticated ambiance Villa Marquis is perfect for you. Couldn’t fault our stay.
